The Yacht Charter Booking Process

booking processCompass Point Yacht Charter has over 250 crewed and bareboat yachts to choose from and will check availability with the yacht owners or management agents. If your chosen yacht is available for your desired travelling dates and destination; we will proceed with reserving the yacht for you.

Please note:yachts do book up fairly quickly in advance for destination high seasons.

Working Hold
If your travelling dates are available and you’re ready to book but have not finalized flights or other details; Compass Point Yacht Charters will place a “working hold” on the yacht. As soon as the hold is placed you have 48 hours, for bareboat yachts, and up to two weeks, for crewed yachts; to finalize your details, submit your deposit and reserve the charter.
The high season is highly competitive for yachts and top crews; another charter party can challenge you on crewed charters for your travelling dates. If that happens, you will only have 48 hours from the time of the “challenge” to secure your reservation with a deposit. Compass Point Yacht Charters is a well-respected in the industry and we are given some leeway here. However, to secure your yacht a decision needs to be made in a reasonable amount of time...

Reserving your yacht 6 months, or more, of departure: 25% deposit to hold the yacht. Another 25% is due 6 months prior to the departure date.
Reserving your yacht within 6 months of departure: 50% deposit will need to be collected.
Payment can be made via credit cards, bank wire transfer, personal check or certified check.

If you plan on arriving a day or more before your departure date, you may want to make flight and hotel reservations. We travelled and sailed many worldwide destinations; and have collected great tips on the best hotels, grocery stores, dinning locations and other useful advice to make your trip more enjoyable.
